Kitchen Plumbing

If you’re experiencing plumbing issues in your kitchen, don’t hesitate to call the experts. If your kitchen sink is draining slowly, or even won’t drain at all, or if your dishwasher is backing up into your kitchen sink, we can unstop it. If your disposal has stopped working, or if you have dropped something valuable in your disposal and need someone to retrieve it safely, give us a call.

Over time, grease can build up in your drain lines, causing them to drain more and more slowly and leaving them prone to backing up. Our plumbers can address this and work to clear the lines or even replace them.

We fix leaky kitchen faucets and sprayers, and if you are wanting to upgrade your faucet, or even if you just want to switch to a different finish, we can work with you to find and install the perfect faucet for your kitchen.

Bathroom Plumbing

Because they are used every day, bathroom fixtures are usually the first to need repairs. If your sink, tub, or shower faucets are leaking or won’t turn all the way off, or if they are draining slowly or clogged, Athens Plumbing can handle it.

If your water bill is suddenly much higher than normal, call Athens Plumbing to find the source of the leak and put a stop to it. The most common source of a high water bill is a leaking or “running” toilet. Even if a toilet isn’t running constantly, it can cycle between leaking and not leaking, and you may not even hear it. A leaking toilet can quickly raise a water bill or overwhelm a septic tank. If your water utility allows credits for a high water bill, we can provide the paperwork for you to request an adjustment to your bill.

We also do annual preventative maintenance on your drains and p-traps and can clear them of accumulated hair and other debris that can cause them to drain slowly or back up.

Sewer Lines

If your sewer line is backing up, our techs have access to a range of sewer machines (commonly called “snakes”) that can clear your line of roots and other materials that block the line. Our techs can also run a high-definition video camera through your sewer line to see the problem and determine its location. If it can be repaired, they will discuss options with you, and if it needs to be replaced, they can provide a quote and schedule replacing it.

If you are on a septic tank and your sewer line is backing up, it is often because your septic tank needs to be pumped. Athens Plumbing can do that, too. See our Septic Tank page for more information.
